A few years ago, Douglas was a pilot and had no financial problems. But now he is forced to work as a night porter for a meager salary. One day, he finds the body of a guest in his room - and a bunch of money next to it. Without hesitation, Douglas grabs it and runs away. In his hands is a chance for a happy, rich life. But the real owners of this fortune have already gone in search, so Douglas confuses the tracks and flies to Europe. Once in safety, he sees with horror that he mixed up his luggage at the airport! The new owner of the suitcase with money - the extravagant swindler Fabian - offers to join his machinations. Will Douglas risk trusting a stranger when the money is so close?
