“Norne-Gest” is the third book of J. V. Jensen’s prose epic “The Long Journey”. The process of civilizational development continues. In “The Campaign of the Cimbri”, the fourth part of the cycle, the author transports readers to the times of the Roman Empire, unfolding a panorama of events in the territories of Jutland, France, and Italy. The overarching motif of this work is the migration of the Cimbri from Jutland to the Stone Age. A new era is ripening in blood, struggle for power and territory. Unfortunately, on a fateful journey south of the Alps, the Cimbri, defeated by the Roman legions, lose their place in the sun.
