Northanger Abbey

Seventeen-year-old Catherine Morland is a somewhat naive, romance-loving daughter of a clergyman. She likes to imagine herself as the heroine of her favorite stories, perceiving life around her as a game. One day, the girl receives an invitation to visit the fashionable resort of Bath together with her wealthy neighbors. Catherine suffers from loneliness, so meeting the mysterious and gallant young man Henry Tilney becomes a breath of fresh air for her. Catherine's vivid imagination, fueled by her love of Gothic novels, makes her believe that Henry's family home, Northanger Abbey, hides dark secrets.
