An international trainer and supervisor, the author of numerous investigations on psychotherapy and psychopathology, in which he explores original approaches to understanding clinical suffering from the perspective of phenomenological and Gestalt therapy and offers new models for the formulation of specific clinical disorders. President of the Poiesis Gestalt Therapy Centre in Turin and Co-Director of the International Institute of Gestalt Therapy and Psychopathology (IPsiG). Past President of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), the Italian Society for Gestalt Therapy (SIPG), the Italian Federation of Psychotherapeutic Associations (FIAP), member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy (NYIGT), the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (AAGT), the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and the Society for Psychotherapeutic Research (SPR).

Elizabeth Carey-Reid is a Master of Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute, Middlesex University, London.
