Ode to Ukraine

During the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the French writer Emmanuel Rubin invited his Ukrainian colleagues — fourteen authors — to talk about their Ukraine. About its cities and villages, places and landscapes, spaces and people who created here. About things that are symbolic for Ukrainians and personify what is called Home. This is how the collection Hommage à l’Ukraine — “Ode to Ukraine” — appeared. This is a book of essays, stories and poems written during the war and in which the authors share their memories and feelings, joys and anxieties, thoughts on how war changes native places and the perception of home, and stories that show Ukraine as it is. This collection contains stories about 11 out of 24 regions and about Crimea.
