Anything can happen in Lviv. But no one expected it to be this bad. In just one week, a writer, a detective, and an oligarch who controlled almost half of the region are found dead in the city. The last on the list of the dead is a minister. The circumstances of the deaths are mysterious — the victims seem to be in no way connected, but they die one after the other, as if according to someone's script.
The police are in no hurry to provide answers, so a news agency takes on the case. Former restaurant PR man, now journalist Radetskyi, immerses himself in an investigation where every detail can be key — from the recipe for cheesecake to the history of coats of arms and urban legends. The further the man delves into the story, the more convinced he becomes that this is not just a series of murders. Something much older and more influential may be hidden behind it... And next to the detective, Radetsky's own personal drama is imperceptibly unfolding, because the editor who entrusted the investigation to the journalist was once not only his intern, but also his lover.
