"Last Love in Constantinople" is a Tarot novel. Each of the 22 chapters, named after Tarot cards, is a separate story that allows the reader to immerse himself in a real mystical game. The plot and nature of the novel's resolution depend on how the cards are laid out. But, depicting the characters' relationships, the author invites the reader to predict his own fate. All you have to do is spread out the cards and, guided by their interpretation given in the table of contents, read the chapters of the novel in the order in which they fell out. As always, Pavych continues the tradition of unexpected experiments with literary form. While remaining true to himself, he is at the same time completely recognizable and unpredictable.
