The last house on a safe street

This is a story about a girl who disappeared eleven years ago during a trip to the lake; about her sister Dee, who keeps searching after tragedy destroys her family; about Ted, who has always been strange and could be responsible for the girl's disappearance. Ted now lives with his daughter and cat in an abandoned house with boarded-up windows, through which light barely penetrates. Determined, Dee rents an apartment next door and surreptitiously watches the man from a safe distance. Will Dee finally be able to prove Ted's involvement in her baby sister's disappearance? Especially since Ted's cat has her own thoughts on this matter...
