Etienne Seguin is not even thirty. Originally from Drumonville, he has been living in Montreal for several years. Etienne had just accepted a position as a literature teacher at a college in his hometown. Either way, he'll be driving to and from work on Highway 20, a one-way trip of about an hour, which will allow him to listen to the radio, and most importantly, forget about his recent divorce! Etienne soon notices the hitchhiker, always in the same place and at the same time as he drives by. Why not give him a ride so the road doesn't seem so monotonous? The boy immediately understands that the passenger knew him as a child, but Etienne suffers from amnesia and does not remember his childhood at all. He has a question: so who is this passenger whom he made a habit of picking up? And what did they do together in their younger years?
"Passenger" is a novel of incredible tension by the author of "Seven Days of Talion".
