The First

"The First" is the debut novel of journalist Mariia Oleksa. A bright story about experiences that will never be repeated - first kisses and first love, boundless dreams and plans for the future. The story of two young people - Ravlyk and Vla, who met too early to understand what they could become for each other.

Summer camp, orange sweater, letters, and walks through old Kyiv. June 68, their summer was never to end. But, of course, it doesn't happen like that.

Heroes grow up and make important decisions. They make mistakes, grow, and create new places and meanings so that one day they finally understand - where (or, after all, whom) they were running all this time.

Mariia Oleksa is a journalist living in France. As an editorial editor on French television, she writes articles and shoots reports for Ukrainian mass media.
