All Percy wanted was to get into New Rome University so he could be with Annabeth. But to do that, he had to get three letters of recommendation from Olympians, where one letter equals one quest. And the first one was from Zeus’s handsome but slightly naive cupbearer, Ganymede.
Someone had stolen his cup of immortality, and if he didn’t return it in time, then:
any mortal who drank from it would become a god;
Zeus would throw a tantrum.
