Description

The daughter of a married Japanese woman, the heiress of an aristocratic family, and a dark-skinned American soldier, Nori is an outcast from birth. The grandparents accept her only to hide her from society, because they are horrified by this stain on their ancient family, whose authority is also being undermined by changes in Japanese society. Coming to terms with her guilt, the clever and inquisitive Nori lives alone in the attic for several years. Until one day, her older half-brother Akira appears at the estate, destined to inherit all the property and responsibilities of their family. Strangely enough, he becomes her ally. There is a strong connection between them. A connection that cruel grandparents cannot allow. And this confrontation will definitely change the life of each family member. Because Nori saw a world in which, perhaps, there would be a place for her after all. Therefore, she is ready to argue and resist. Ready to fight, which may cost her too much.
