New Close-up is an updated and expanded reprint of the beloved course. It features a new modern design, dynamic photos, socially relevant videos and real stories from National Geographic that turn lessons into unforgettable journeys.
The New Close-up A2 textbook consists of 12 chapters. Each chapter contains lessons on Reading, Vocabulary and Use of English, Grammar, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Current topics with completely updated texts, tips and exercises provide an opportunity to master important language and life skills. Each chapter ends with updated video lessons or a “Live Well, Study Well” section with a joint project. At the end of the textbook there are also summary chapters and reference materials: Grammar Reference, Vocabulary Reference, Writing Reference, Speaking Reference.
Teachers and students will like the word lists for each chapter, which are now included in the textbook itself. Also, together with it, students will have access to the National Geographic Learning platform (eltngl.com/sites/newcloseup/home), where all audio and video materials, expanded word lists, including those with Ukrainian translation, are located.
New Close-up level A2 is designed for 90–120 hours of study hours and meets the requirements of the foreign language curriculum. All exam tasks and prompts in the textbook and workbook have been updated in accordance with the latest changes to the Cambridge A2 Key language exam.
