Among the artists and intellectuals of the last century, whose work aroused great interest among the intelligentsia of the West and had a significant influence on it, one of the prominent places belongs to the French writer, Nobel Prize laureate Albert Camus (1913-1960). The importance of his contribution to literature and spiritual culture is difficult to overestimate. The modern reader's interest in the works of Camus has by no means diminished. Even today, they successfully perform on many theater stages and vividly demonstrate the extraordinary talent of Camus the dramatist.
