Consumed by fire

“Consumed by Fire” (2021) is the latest work of the outstanding writer and our contemporary Jaume Cabret, perhaps even a kind of summary of his literary work. The author, who has not written for eleven years, expresses his extremely pessimistic attitude towards life and the search for happiness in a light ironic style. At the same time, it is a very interesting original detective story with a lot of literary allusions, in which an amateur linguist becomes an accomplice to a murder against his will and, having deciphered a philological puzzle, helps the attackers withdraw funds from someone else's account.
