Study guide "Pokuttia Embroideries of Prykarpattia. The Art of Geometric Ornament and Coloring" is the second art album from the "Prykarpattia Embroideries" series, which is dedicated to Pokuttia embroidery patterns in the cross-stitch technique of the end of the 19th century — the first half of the 20th century, and their way of life during at the 20th century — at the beginning of the 21st century.

It examines various patterns of Pokuttia folk embroidery for men's shirts, women's shirts, and "fences" of notes and their local names. Patterns are systematized into phytomorphic (plant), and zoomorphic (animal), by origin, object, space, and digital. The manual includes tables with cross-patterns of authentic embroidery on shirts of the Horodenkiv district, as well as the author's photo illustrations of authentic embroideries and types in the traditional clothing of the Horodenkiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The art of geometric ornament is considered — ornamental motifs and compositions, options for constructing the insets of women's shirts or the bosoms of men's shirts. Patterns reproduced by the author, in the form of "drawings" (contours of patterns), are presented on tables, and also reproduced patterns filled with colored threads are presented on tables. All photos and tables are numbered and certified. Many patterns are presented in order to see how different versions of classic patterns were created, and how the colors of the threads changed when filling the "divers" at different times and in different villages. The process of creating patterns from simple ornamental motifs can serve as a master class for students in practical classes. Embroidery patterns can be creatively used to develop ethnodesign of modern clothes in national traditions.

Sources for finding authentic embroideries were: museum funds, trips to villages, private collections, exhibitions, festivals "Pokuttia springs", "Dniester dawns", and jubilee holidays of Pokuttia villages and cities. The rubric "Geography of Ornament" was introduced, because we live in the 21st century and local embroideries spread beyond the borders of the localities where they were created.

The album is intended for art historians, ethnographers, Ukrainian historians, local historians, scientists, artists, museum workers, teachers and students of art educational institutions and school students for conducting lessons on local history, fine arts, and artistic work; collectors, embroiderers; heads of folklore and ethnographic collectives, as a model for reproducing traditional folk clothing of the beginning of the 20th century; and also for tourists as a useful souvenir.

For a better orientation about the territory of Pokuttia, at the beginning of each section of the album, a map of the corresponding district is presented - Horodenkivskyi, Tlumatskyi, in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
