The search for new spectacular tricks, mixed with personal enmity, gradually grew into a real battle of technologies, which even involved the brilliant inventor Nikola Tesla. The relentless pursuit led to tragedy. The denouement was witnessed by the direct descendants of the illusionists, who would read the magicians' diaries centuries later. The captivating descriptions of the tricks, the sharpness of the characters' emotions, and the trademark "chill" will be highly appreciated by fans of the mystical thriller genre.
