In the famous poem of the outstanding Roman poet Lucretius (1st century BC) "On the nature of things", which is an example of a combination of thought and image, the reader is presented with a majestic picture of the world structure and social life as seen by ancient atomist thinkers. Developing their views, Lucretius created a unique poem, which still impresses with the depth and breadth of its author's thinking, the skill of artistic writing. The poem had a huge impact on the development of European philosophical thought.
In Ukrainian literature, the emotionality of Lucretius' worldview is felt, in particular, in the works of B. I. Antonych.
