The book offers an analysis of a wide range of historical and cultural material, which allowed the author to identify and reveal significant figurative and artistic and stylistic transformations in the era of globalization in such types of professional decorative art of Ukraine as ceramics, glass, artistic woodwork, tapestry, batik, non-traditional textiles. The researcher believes that cultural globalization pushes Ukrainian artists of decorative art in their work to national identification, directs them to search for archetypes of their culture, stimulates them to preserve their national identity. Therefore, the entry of Ukrainian professional decorative art at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries. into the world context does not cause the danger of dissolution in it. The author convincingly proves that the historically formed but modernized professional decorative art, which is based on centuries-old traditions of a unique cultural heritage, is the basis for the spread of signs of national and cultural identity in the society of Ukraine in the age of globalization. The Ukrainian-English edition is intended for art critics, historians, museum workers, as well as a wide circle of fans of Ukrainian art and culture. The monograph can serve scientists, teachers, and students of art universities as a source for studying the decorative art of Ukraine of the 20th-21st centuries.
