When seventeen-year-old Yana arrives in Tokyo, the city of her dreams, she wants to stay here forever. But she soon discovers the terrible consequences of such a desire. One part of the heroine, due to a mystical separation, seems to be stuck in a vicious circle and finds herself locked in Shibuya, a bustling district of Tokyo, the center of Japanese pop culture with many shopping malls and entertainment venues, famous for its nightlife.
While the younger version of Yana wanders the city, gets into strange situations and looks for a way to get home, twenty-four-year-old Yana studies Japanese studies in Prague, desperately dreams of getting to Japan and, together with an eccentric doctoral student, tries to translate a Japanese work. The fate of its author, the mysterious and little-known writer Kiyomaru Kawashita, will have a greater impact on the development of events than Yana could even imagine...
