Mind: everything is fine! You have a job, a roof over your head, food, and friends. Emotions: something so sad.
If you have experienced something similar and could not figure out the problem, this book is for you. In it, journalist Mark Livin and psychotherapist Ilya Poludyonnyi talk about emotions and feelings in simple words. They learn to decipher the messages that come into the chat with themselves: "You've been sad for several days. Pay attention to this." Or: “It seems you are jealous of a friend who found a new job. Maybe it's time for you to change something too?".
Structurally, the book consists of 20 chapters. Each is devoted to a separate feeling or emotion: anger, envy, resentment, shame, loneliness, etc. The authors popularly teach the theory, explain topics using examples from their own lives, and share exercises for practice. And a lot is said about current realities.
Together, Mark and Illia created the most famous Ukrainian podcast about psychology - "In Simple Words", which became the reason for writing the book.
P.S. The book does not duplicate the podcast "In Simple Words".
