Ghosts

This story is a continuation of Anatoly Dnistrovoy's trilogy, the events of which take place in a fictional town in Podil. "Grey Payne", which is the first book of the trilogy, tells about the life of provincial bohemians - artists, prostitutes and poets.

In "Ghosts", the events take place in two parallel time layers (the beginning of the 2000s and our time). The first time layer is the youth of the heroes (an environment of provincial literati, slammer poets and creative people), their creative experiments, uncontrolled sexual freedom, denial of any authorities and big plans for the future.

The second time layer is the heroes after 20 years and what happens to them during this time.

The longing for creativity brings the main character to the city of his youth, where everything has changed beyond recognition. He wanders in it like a ghost, and communicates with the same living ghosts from his youth, which have become invisible in the present time.
