Nancy McWilliams is a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology, a lecturer at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University (New Jersey), has a private practice in Flemington (New Jersey), a former president of the Psychoanalysis Section of the American Psychological Association, and a member of the editorial board of the journal Psychoanalytic Psychology. Dr. McWilliams's books have been translated into 14 languages, she has lectured at various educational institutions and institutions both in the United States and around the world, and is a laureate of many awards. Dr. McWilliams is a graduate of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, and collaborates with the Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey and with the nationwide training program of the National Institute of Psychotherapy in New York.
