Description

"To all who defend Ukraine from the sky, and to all who defend the Ukrainian sky."

Dmytro Kalinchuk

“Poultry houses” is the first novel in Ukraine about UAV pilots, written by a UAV pilot.

Drones are flights, the sky, romance - this is how ordinary people imagine the work of UAV operators. The reality is fundamentally different.

Pugach is a former military and external pilot of an unmanned aerial vehicle. He flies drones of various types, although officially he is not a pilot, because he does not have a single document confirming his profession. Due to a full-scale invasion, Pugach returns to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fly UAVs, but he has to look for a drone for work himself.

The state cannot provide the entire army, and especially not at the beginning of an invasion. Drones are mainly obtained by volunteers. This is not uncommon in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Pugach is helped by volunteers and drone manufacturers. He comes to the front - to fly. To find enemy targets, adjust artillery fire, and... listen to the endless complaints of commanders.

But the problem crept up unexpectedly: Pugach's wife went abroad and begins to persuade him to leave everything and join her. But Pugach is at war. Next to him are the same foreign pilots who also fly, hide from shelling and lose equipment. They all have many problems, but time after time they go out on missions.
