One morning in December, the long winter sleep of the Moomin family was interrupted. The world outside the walls of the house changed beyond recognition: something white and mysterious covered the entire Moomin Valley. Everyone was in excited anticipation of something headed for Moomin Valley. That mysterious Something seemed very dangerous and was called Christmas.

Tove Jansson's favorite story, "Christmas Comes to Moominvalley" has been retold in its own way by authors Alex Haridi and Cecilia Davidsson and published with new illustrations by artist Filippa Widlund.
