Description

A comedy writer thinks she's cut out for great love, but a charming pop singer defies her assumptions!

Sally Mills is the writer of Night Owls, a live Saturday night comedy show. With more than one experience of unhappy relationships behind her, she stopped looking for love a long time ago - instead, she chose casual relationships, career success and a good relationship with her stepfather for pleasure in life.

Then Sally's friend and fellow screenwriter Danny Horst begins dating Annabelle, a gorgeous actress who was on the show. He becomes one of the many talented but average-looking and even funny men on the show—and in society in general—who start relationships with incredibly beautiful and successful women. To express her displeasure, Sally writes a sketch called "The Danny Horst Rule", which simultaneously mocks the phenomenon and points out that a woman could hardly be so lucky.

At the same time, Noah Brewster, a star pop singer who is rumored to like dating models, joins the show as host and musical guest for the week. Sally begins to admire the charming man, and while working on sketches, she wonders if a spark has flown between them. But this is not a romantic comedy, but real life. And in real life, there's no way a man like him would date a woman like her...right?
