The album is dedicated to Ukrainian Architectural Modernism (UAM) – the brightest trend in Ukrainian architecture of the first half of the 20th century. At that time, several hundred original buildings were erected on vast domestic and foreign territories, full of the bright pathos of the golden Ukrainian age. Unfortunately, most of them remained little known and undervalued by descendants during the “hundred years of solitude” and total Ukrainian struggle. Therefore, the authors set themselves a difficult task: to find and collect together the works of UAM scattered across Ukraine and the world (including those destroyed or rebuilt beyond recognition). The result of many years of search is presented in the album “The Garden of Ukrainian Modernism”.
