For centuries, one of the most important secrets of China was the formula for making porcelain, products from which were extremely expensive in Europe. Apparently, each of the kings of that time dreamed of getting this formula in order to get rich. In 1707, the porcelain merchant Demian Ossorio received such a task from the King of Spain. For this he had to get to China and... become Chinese: learn the language, customs of the country, change his appearance. Despite the terrible tests, repeatedly risking his life, Demian completes the task. But he does not know that precisely at that time, the alchemist Johann Frederick Bettger was working on the secret of porcelain on the order of Augustus II of Saxony. Which of them will own the discovery that will forever change not only the trade relations between old Europe and the Celestial Empire, but also their lives?
