Knowing that their grandmother is gravely ill, the four siblings conspire to prevent Death from taking her. But Death comes anyway, as it should. Soft and natural, she has enough time to help children understand the value of losing life and the importance of being able to say goodbye one last time.

The book has received numerous international awards, has been translated into dozens of languages, and is considered one of the best children's publications in the world on how to talk to children about the loss of a loved one.

In 2018, Glenn Ringtved was in Ukraine with presentations in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv.

The first edition was made possible with the help of the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine. The author's visit to Ukraine was supported by the Book Space Book Festival and Statens Kunstfond.

The Ukrainian version of the book was worked on by: translator from Danish Angela Tsiorokh, editor Anna Protsuk, proofreader Maryna Hetmanets, typewriter Ilya Strongovsky.
