Schultsiv dictionary

Compiled by the most outstanding Polish Schultzologists of the beginning of the 21st century, the ≪Schultz dictionary≫ covers all areas and branches of Schultzology - it not only talks about life and work, but also about the legend of the brilliant writer from Drohobych Bruno Schultz (1892–1942) and the reception of his work. Biographical analysis, focused on the repeated and typical, was complemented by the search for one-time, specific events that do not create a legendary structure, but give it an individual imprint. Along with explanations and comments on Schulz's linguistic features, the dictionary contains a scattering of slogans about the world presented by him, as well as a register of higher semantic structures, combining the literary and artistic dimensions of the same, albeit ambivalently presented reality by Schulz. A separate area is literary appeals to Schultz, Schultz as a subject of poetry, cinematographic and theatrical adventures of his work. 289 slogans, accompanied by abundant illustrative material, are at the same time marked by individual particular and eccentric interests of researchers and interpreters of Shultz's work.

The publishing house dedicates this publication to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great writer and graphic artist and to the 80th anniversary of his tragic death during the Shoah.
