In the post-apocalyptic Ark, speech is strictly controlled, the number of words is limited by the List, which is guarded by the wordsmiths. It seemed that life in the Ark was orderly and the only correct one, and the savior of humanity, John Noah, was honest and just. However, when Letta’s teacher goes on an expedition in search of new words, the girl accidentally learns that everything is not quite as she was led to believe from early childhood.
