Taste of Evil

Under Adolf Hitler there were fourteen female tasters who tasted every dish placed on his table. "The Taste of the Enemy" is a fictional story of one of them, a young German girl from an aristocratic family - Gretchen von Bismarck, endowed with extraordinary taste and smell. She became a trusted member of the tasters and, through her architect father, contacted Albert Speer, Hitler's architect and Minister of Armaments and War Production. Later, the girl learned about the Holocaust and her own previously unknown Jewish origin. With the help of her boyfriend Kurt Andorfer, the leader of the Hitler Youth, she devises a plan to assassinate the leader of Nazi Germany. The novel contains excerpts from important documents, little-known reports and speeches of the period, quotations from important directives and German radio broadcasts, reports on slave labor, etc.
