Returning to Dorset after years as a detective in the big city, Nicola Bridge never expected the picturesque village of Flitcombe to become the scene of a brutal murder.
The body of Jim Tiernan, owner of the White Stag pub, is found displayed with bizarre theatricality on a back country road. Nicola begins to ask questions and soon realizes that everyone in this village is hiding something.
