2040th year. 15 years have passed since the apocalypse caused by a global environmental disaster. Black clouds covered Kharkiv. People are just trying to survive in a world where a regular shower is an attribute of luxury and cleaning up garbage is a surprisingly profitable business.
Journalist Lina receives the task of finding a missing man named Vlad. Four people are ready to pay her for this work at once: her mother, her partner, a prostitute, and an artist. But the more a woman communicates with them, the less she understands what really happened. Everyone tells their own story, and none of the stories fit into a common puzzle.
Meanwhile, Lina's interlocutors begin to disappear... What happened to Vlad? Did he exist at all or does this bizarre investigation make no sense?
Dmytro Skochko is a writer, and author of the book "To the Word" about Ukrainian artists from the Kharkiv house "Slovo".
"The book was written with love for Kharkiv. In it, I depicted the world and Kharkiv as I would never want to see them," Dmytro writes about his new book.
