The Case of Vasyl Stus. A Collection of Documents from the Archive of the Former KGB of the Ukrainian SSR

Vakhtang Kipiani's book "The Case of Vasyl Stus" was published in May 2019 by the Vivat publishing house and received several awards:

Book Forum Lviv — a personal award of the director of the NGO "Publishers' Forum", the Cherkasy Book Festival in the nomination "Popular Science Book for Adults", and the members of the Ukrainian PEN Club included "The Case of Vasyl Stus" in the list of the best books of 2019, which appeared in print in domestic publishing houses.

V. Kipiani's book "The Case of Vasyl Stus" consists of 90% archival documents. The author's opinions are based on the facts, including the factual part of the book.

Since August 2019, the legal process has been ongoing on Viktor Medvedchuk's lawsuit to ban and distribute the publication.

The book contains archival documents from the criminal case of Vasyl Stus, witness statements, the poet's letters from prison, and memories of his relatives and friends. After reading the above materials, readers will learn about the unknown facts about the life, imprisonment, and death of Stus, which until now were protected under the label "Secret".
