Father Silence once terrorized the town of Twisted Tree, posing as a priest to prey on the most vulnerable members of society. When the police finally found his "House of Horrors," they discovered nineteen bodies and a boy who survived and has been locked away in an asylum for the criminally insane ever since. Nearly two decades later, Father Silence was finally executed, but the next morning, the detective who made the first arrest was found dead with his wife. A new serial killer claims responsibility and calls himself the Exile. The detective's daughter, Tess Claiborne, takes on the crime on her own. When her parents are found dead and her young daughter is kidnapped by the Exile, Tess is forced to confront her worst fears and long-buried memories. She returns to Twisted Tree to visit the surviving boy and learn what secrets lie hidden in the tangled web of his darkened mind.
A gripping thriller with a touch of old-fashioned horror, Sleep Tight is a story from a true master of the genre.
