Art book "Capital Kyiv: how our elite fought, created and quarreled 100 years ago".
This book is our confession of love for the city, which became the heart of Ukrainian statehood. This is our attempt to describe the life of Kyiv a hundred years ago, which is so similar to our life now: battles with the Russians and at the same time the development of Ukrainian art, intellectual gatherings and opposition of various social movements.
The heroes of this book are soldiers and politicians, artists and artists, men of letters and writers. Skoropadskyi and Petlyura, Narbut and Krychevskyi, Pidmohylnyi and Zerov, Lyudmila Starytska-Chernyakhivska and Bronislava Nizhynska and other bold and majestic personalities of that time who created a new state and a new art. Through their biographies, the main character is revealed, who is able to unite such different and brilliant people around him - Kyiv.
The authors of the book are historian Tetiana Shvydchenko, artist Nadiya Hart and literary critic Diana Andriyevska.
