Young Lileia grows and changes, and nature around her is unchanged, the same as always. The girl almost does not remember the sun - her world is rainy and dark. And nothing wants to grow in the wet ground and in the eternal twilight. Lileia lives with her grandfather, who works in a greenhouse and makes sure that there are vegetables and fruits in the village. The girl is strictly forbidden to enter the greenhouse, but one day she breaks the ban... and stumbles upon a secret path into the forest that can change everything! In the thick of the forest, behind the black trunks of trees, she discovers another, blooming, world. Lileia will have to overcome immense fear to find love and joy, and also to restore hope for spring.
"Snow Sister" began a fantasy series about the seasons by Norwegian writer Maja Lunde with amazing illustrations by Lisa Aisato. "Guardian of the Sun" continues it, but at the same time it is an independent story - an incredible and magical tale for children and adults, which can be read by the whole family.
