The first anthology of Ukrainian military poetry: poems dedicated to the theme of wars and revolutions, uprisings, and underground organizations. The authors included in the collection are both direct participants in the liberation struggle and well-known classics whose military and revolutionary background is usually not discussed. The presented poems make it possible to see such authors as Antonych, Teliha, Bahrianyi, Malaniuk, and many others in a new way. From poems about medieval Ruthenia and the Cossacks to ballads about the OUN and the anthem of the uprising in the Gulag - these poems reveal an unusual side of Ukrainian literature: militant and one that inspires struggle instead of suffering.
Russian-Ukrainian war veteran Ruslan Lubynskyi designed the collection.
