Sunrise on the Reaping

As the Fifty Hunger Games approach, fear grips Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, they will take a double portion of tributes from their homes. The sixteenth birthday of Haymitch Abernathy, as always, falls on the Harvest. All he worries about this morning is surviving the day and spending it with his beloved girl. But everything goes awry when his name is announced in the tribute draw.The boy is taken to the Capitol along with three other representatives from District 12: a thirteen-year-old girl who is like a sister to him, a young bookmaker, and the most arrogant girl in the district. As the Games begin, Haymitch realizes that the odds of winning are slim. However, inside him burns a desire to fight... and for the consequences of his resistance to echo far beyond the deadly arena.
