Worlds of exile and illusion

The League of All Worlds spans thousands of planets. They are home to a multitude of amazing races, each with their own unique culture, technology, and abilities. On one of these many worlds, ethnologist Gabriel Rocannon must track down and eliminate rebels who seek to undermine the League's power. On another world, Jacob Agat must find a way to unite a colony of humans cut off from the League and a neighboring tribe of natives to withstand the harsh Winter and the horde that is coming to conquer them all. And in the cradle of humanity, on Earth, a man who calls himself Falk must challenge the Enemy against whom even the League itself has proven powerless. Each of the three will have to overcome a path that will affect their fate and the fate of the people around them.

This edition collects Le Guin's first three published novels: The World of Rocannon, Planet of Exile, and City of Illusions. Each takes place on a different planet, with only thin threads of continuity connecting them.
