Description

1938, Transcarpathia under the rule of Czechoslovakia. Irvinh was born in New Orleans, but her mother, Ulia, suddenly decides to go to her native village to her sister and dies a mysterious death there. The girl wants to return to America, but her stepfather does not answer her letters, she has no documents or money, and her aunt's family openly dislikes her.

Against the backdrop of the formation of Carpathian Ukraine, Irvinh tries to find out what happened to her mother and find herself in a world that defines marriage as a woman's only place in society. And then the mysterious White Lady appears, calling Irvinh to follow her...
