Sara Marsala has lost her business and separated from her husband. In addition, her aunt Rosie dies. However, her aunt's death allows her to escape from her present life and look into the past. Sara receives a plane ticket to Sicily, documents, perhaps, for a valuable plot of land, and learns about a sensational family secret. Rosie believed that Sara's great-grandmother Serafina, who remained in Italy when her husband went to work in America, died not of illness, as the family legend says, but was murdered. Thus begins an adventure full of unexpected twists. Picturesque Italy, ancient mysteries, the story of a stubborn young woman who challenged the status quo and found herself in danger. The more Sara learns about Serafina and her fate, the more she realizes: she is threatened by the same forces that destroyed her great-grandmother.
