The Mystery of the Mexican Gods of Death

“The Secret of the Mexican Gods of Death” is part of a series of detective stories about Johan Christian Hooman, an intelligent, very sweet and a little funny antique dealer, a lover of red wine, fine food and beautiful women. He lives in Stockholm with his Siamese cat Cleo. She often helps out her owner when he gets into trouble.

This time Hooman finds himself in a critical situation – the police are pursuing him for murder, so he has to investigate the case himself, because his life is at stake. The first-person narrative keeps the reader in suspense from the beginning to the very end of the book.

The author of the book is the famous Swedish writer and diplomat Jan Mortenson. At one time he worked as the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and the Secretary-General of the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf.
