This book is an attempt to create a group portrait of Ukrainian men and women who oppose Russian aggression. It includes first-person accounts of people of all ages, occupations, and backgrounds who decided to join the resistance. All of them could have taken the passive position of helpless commoners, but they chose to do otherwise. At a certain point in their biographies, the heroes of this book passed the conditional point U, the point of Ukraine: they realized its importance and decided to fight for it - each and every one of them in their own way. Someone went to the front, someone engaged in volunteering, and someone else - documenting and understanding. In the book, the voices of not only Ukrainians are heard, because this war has a much wider context and meaning.
