Tokyo of the near future is a city of neon lights and silence, where even emotions are subject to regulation. The plot centers on the Tokyo Tower of Compassion, a revolutionary architectural project designed to relocate criminals to an artificially created paradise. Architect Sarah sincerely believes that she is laying the foundation for a new, humane world, where comfort can heal the soul and eradicate evil. She sees her creation as a symbol of progress that will finally overcome the alienation between people. However, behind the tower's perfect facade are questions that have no clear answers.
Rie Qudan offers atmospheric philosophical reflections on the line between sincere compassion and the illusion of order, on the price of the image of an ideal society in the era of artificial intelligence, when a person has to pay with his own identity for the right to be part of the system.
