Hryhir Tiutiunnyk (1931–1980) was a writer, translator, and teacher. A representative of the sixties generation. A brilliant stylist and one of the strongest Ukrainian novelists of the 20th century.
All of Hryhir Tiutiunnyk's texts are perfectly written: juicy descriptions and dialogues, apt words about the characters, the rapid development of the plot... and appropriate considerations, which are not too many and which are never banal. There are aesthetics of expression, intellectual digressions, allusions to other texts, and the main thing in this collection are fragments of real life as it is.
The collection includes ten texts (stories, novellas, short stories) by Hryhir Tiutiunnyk: "Ovary", "Cold Mint", "Wonder", "Medal", "Red Darkness", "Bewitched", "Siege", "Katria's Wedding", "My Saturday", "Three Cuckoos with a Bow".
In the proposed short prose, you will see what nuances of experience literature can convey, and how it can move, bringing someone's life closer to us, even if it is far away from us.
This book is published in the "Our Classics" series by the Pabulum publishing house. These are the most important texts of Ukrainian literature. Books that will reset your perception of our culture.
