Spence's life has never been easy. She grew up among the Unconquered - people fighting for survival in a galaxy where they are considered the most dangerous creatures. Becoming one of the best pilots in Detritus, she proved that even those who are trying to humiliate or break are able to rise above all. She saved her people from the Krell, revealed the secrets of enemies and even dared to infiltrate the planet of the first sergeant to discover the truth about other worlds.

But the real test is just beginning. The first sergeant seeks to conquer the universe and for this she plans to use the most terrible weapon - the Delver, an ancient mysterious alien force capable of instantly destroying entire planets. No army of pilots, not even the fleet of the S.O.N., is able to withstand such power.

But Spence is different from the others. She is a Cyton, and she has encountered the Delver before, seeing something eerily familiar in him. Maybe if she understands who she really is, she can become more than just another pilot in this war. Maybe she can save the galaxy.

The only way to find out is to leave everything she knows and enter the unknown, a place from which almost no one has returned.

But true courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to look it in the eye. And Spence is ready to take that step.
