One dark evening on the Upper West Side of New York, two women meet by chance. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realize they have a lot in common, most notably loneliness and a burning desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families. The conversation drags on late into the night, and eventually they come up with the perfect plan: if you kill for me, I'll kill for you.

Elsewhere in the city, Ruth is sleeping alone in her luxurious home when someone breaks into her. She is attacked with a knife by a man with piercing blue eyes and disappears into the darkness of the night. Miraculously surviving, can Ruth ever feel safe again, knowing that the same blue-eyed stranger is wandering around somewhere nearby?
