The book “The Housemaid's Wedding” is a collection of short stories by American writer Freida McFadden. The author presents the public with three stories under one cover, the first of which — the story “The Housemaid's Wedding” — serves as a “bridge” between “The Housemaid's Secret" and “ The Housemaid Is Watching.” The already familiar characters Millie and Enzo get married. But the fairy-tale day does not go according to plan: the woman’s past sneaks up on her and seeks to ruin everything. The second text is the Christmas novella “The Gift”, permeated with parallels with O. Henry. The publication is concluded with the satirical novella “The Widow’s Husband’s Secret Lie”, which is an exquisite satire on the thriller genre, written in an unsurpassed ironic tone.
